fairs.ie lists car boot sales, antique fairs, flea markets, vintage pop-ups, craft fairs and agricultural shows across the 32 counties. It exists to answer one question quickly on a Saturday morning: what is on near me.

Why it exists

Finding this stuff in Ireland is harder than it should be. The dates that matter live in Facebook groups and on organisers' own pages, where they cannot be searched, sorted or mapped. The listings sites that do turn up in search are either years out of date or are spun articles that name a few venues and carry no dates at all. Plenty of people end up driving to a field that has not held a car boot sale since 2019.

So the point of this site is not breadth for its own sake. It is knowing that what you are reading is still true.

How listings are checked

Every listing shows the date it was last confirmed against a source, and the sources themselves are linked on each venue page. If a listing has not been looked at in a while, you can see that for yourself rather than having to guess.

Listings describe the pattern rather than a single date. A market that runs every Sunday is recorded as running every Sunday, so the page does not go stale between visits. Your own device works out what that means for the weekend coming.

What we cannot tell you

Outdoor markets get called off in bad weather, often at short notice and usually announced on the organiser's own Facebook page an hour before opening. No listings site can keep up with that in real time, this one included. If you are travelling a distance, check with the organiser first. Their contact details are on the venue page for exactly that reason.

The data is open

Everything the site knows is published at /events.json. Take it and use it, with a link back. Nobody else in this corner of the web publishes structured event data, which is a small part of why the information is so hard to find in the first place.

If something here is wrong, or you run a fair that should be listed, the quickest way to fix it is to tell us. Listings are free and always will be.
