Saturday is the main day and runs year round. In July and August it also trades Wednesday to Friday.
The lane and yard around the medieval St Nicholas' Collegiate Church in the middle of Galway, where a market has traded for centuries. Stalls run up both sides of the church under awnings and gazebos, completely in the open. It is a mix of vegetable and flower growers, fish, bread, hot food from around the world, and a large run of arts and crafts.
