A walled market square off Mungret Street in Limerick's Irishtown, trading on the same ground since the eighteenth century and run by the Limerick Market Trustees. A single column canopy put up in 2010 covers the open square, so the market runs whatever the weather, and permanent shop units line the edges. Stalls sell vegetables, farmhouse cheese, fish, bread, street food, plants and crafts.
