The 47th annual show, with All Ireland championship finals for cattle, poultry, dogs and home baking.

The working livestock mart on the northern edge of Elphin town in north Roscommon. On show day the sale rings, pens and sheds carry the cattle, sheep and poultry classes, while the horse and pony rings and the trade stands go on the ground outside, so a fair part of the day is under cover. The committee puts signs up on every approach road.
