Belfast's last surviving Victorian covered market, built between 1890 and 1896 in red brick and cast iron and run by the city council. The hall holds around 200 stalls under one roof, so it trades whatever the weather. Friday is the big variety day with fruit and vegetables, fish, books, clothes and antiques. Saturday and Sunday lean towards food, handmade craft, pottery, glass and local art, with live music.
